Postbox, Inc. was founded by Scott MacGregor and Sherman Dickman in December of 2007, and is based in San Francisco, California. Postbox was first announced at the TechCrunch50 conference in September, 2008.

Scott MacGregor, Founder: Scott MacGregor is Founder and lead engineer at Postbox. Leveraging his prior decade of experience in developing email applications for Netscape and Mozilla Corporation, Scott created Postbox to make email more powerful and efficient. Prior to founding Postbox, Scott was a lead engineer at Mozilla Corporation, where his after-hours efforts led to the invention of Thunderbird. Scott started out his career developing e-mail and messenger products at Netscape. Scott holds a Masters in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Sherman Dickman, Founder: Sherman Dickman is one of the Founders of Postbox. Sherman teamed up with his co-founder, Scott MacGregor, after serving as Director of Product Management at Mozilla Corporation. Sherman joined the Mozilla team from Sun Microsystems, Inc. where he spent seven years in product management and strategic marketing roles within the Java Software Divisions. Prior to Sun, Sherman held product and program management roles at Broderbund, Inc. and Apple. Sherman holds a degree in English from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Seth Spitzer, Software Architect: Seth Spitzer is a Software Architect at Postbox. Prior to Postbox, Seth Spitzer was a Senior Software Engineer at the Mozilla Corporation where he worked on Firefox. After receiving his masters degree in Computer Science from Stanford University in 1996, Seth helped develop e-mail and messenger products at Netscape, which became the roots of Mozilla's Thunderbird e-mail client.

Brian King, Contributor: Brian has been involved in making Desktop and Web applications for 11 years. His passion is to create best-in-breed software and giving users the optimal experience, by ensuring quality in all stages of development from design to deployment. He is President of Mozdev and runs a software consultancy, Briks.

Bryan Bell, Contributor: Based in Bakersfield California, and the father of two, Bryan Bell has been an Internet-oriented designer for the past 10 years. Bryan developed the look and feel the Postbox user interface, including in-product icons and graphics. Bryan designs simple, crisp, and attractive websites, icons, and user-interfaces for several other products and clients.

Mike Rohde, Contributor: Mike Rohde is a designer with a passion for simple, effective design solutions. He focuses on logo & identity design, app icon design and sketchnote illustrations, working with clients around the world. Mike illustrated the 37signals book REWORK, and was official sketchnoter at SXSW Interactive, SEED 3 and An Event Apart. Mike lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Brian Artka, Contributor: Brian's specialty, and passion, is the front-end development of the Web. Armed with a great sense of design and a precise attention to details, Brian can turn almost any design mock-up into a full fledged website. Brian provides these services as Founder and CEO of size43 LLC, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
